A little background to get to know me better.

As the youngest of six children growing up in a suburb outside of Buffalo, New York, I had the opportunity to enjoy the character of the chilly steel town and to learn, from my parents, the importance of hard work.  I graduated summa cum laude from the State University of New York College at Buffalo in 1988 with a dual bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Fine Arts. My grandfather, who was an attorney, a kind gentleman, and my hero, inspired me to apply to law school at his favorite university, Notre Dame. While attending law school, I served as Student Director of the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic where I represented my first Social Security claimants. I graduated in May of 1992 and, within six months, had moved to sunny Florida and was admitted to the Florida Bar. I have practiced law in the areas of Social Security, Workers’ Compensation, Personal Injury, Family Law, and Domestic Violence/Public Interest Law.  In 1996, I married the love of my life, and we have since been blessed with two wonderful children who keep us very busy.

In 2011, I opened my own law firm, Law Office of Marianne S. Hoke, Attorney at Law, P.A. I have represented hundreds of Social Security claimants at hearings throughout north and central Florida. I handle Social Security Disability, Supplemental Security Income and Child SSI cases at all stages of the legal process, from initial application to Federal Court Appeal. I strive to give each client the personal attention they deserve.
